What did WE do this weekend???

Well, Friday night we had a really nice dinner at our house with Nate Parker and Ms. Colleen Powers--- Yep, FINALLY had a chance to catch up with 'em and find out whats going on with them!

Here's the summary!

They are excited about their wedding in July '06
Nate's at Nazareth finishing his degree in English Ed.
Colleen is still at Brockport working as a School Psychologist and finishing up a Long-term sub positition.
They now live in Brighton
They are awesome and we love 'em!

SATURDAY
I worked at the InterVol warehouse all morning packing supplies to be sent to Belize--ryan was home hanging out with the pup and doin some homework!
Saturday afternoon Ryan and I went to the mall with Mikey to do some returns and general "hanging out"
Saturday evening Ryan and I spent with his family at his grandfathers 84th bday party!!!! Can you believe it!!! Yeah, his family lives FOREVER--- its amazing!!!
THAN we went to see The Niche play at Milestones---- Ryan's friend Jay plays drums and we always love to go watch 'em when we get a chance!!!

SUNDAY
I spent the afternoon with my sister shopping/looking for furniture and house accessories---- fun, but realized I'm BROKE and dont want to spend a dime on anything right now!
Then went to my nephew's bball game--- they won---- and he played NOT his BEST game---- but he's such an awesome player he makes it so fun to watch!
After the game we went home and watched "Broken FLowers" --- was a good flick, but ending was AGAIN dissapointing---
I was in bed ASLEEP by 9:30pm!!!

OK---- so now you all know my weekend---- so I may have left out all the GOOD details, but ya get the picture!

THIS weekend is Quinn-a-lynn's bday party at the Schenks!!! Everyone comin????

He's so sweet THEN SNAP and he is Satan's Spawn!!!!

No, Seth I wasn't on my blog yesterday!!! I was at my nephews basketball game!!!

THis week has been VERY busy! Ryan has been working 12-15hr days and school at night and I have had to run around with work and trying to keep the puppy happy. MAN, bein a "new mom" is exhausting!!!

We have had a MOVIE week this week--- its great!

WE watched:

Must Love Dogs----sucked---dont bother!
Brothers Grimm--was good--- didn't like Heath Ledger in this type of role---but it was cute!!
Flight Plan--really good, but weak ending!!!


Ryan had a recording session last night at the house and it lasted Forever--- sounded GREAT but lasted forever and the dog was so angry that he was being ignored by all these cool people in the basement!!!! BUT we lived and everyone left around 12:30am---------

This weekend Im having dinner with Colleen Powers and Nate Parker--- they are awesome... I'm so excited I haven't seen them in FOREVER!!!

1. Cat sees an open lap

2. Cat jumps up and decides she is going to OVERTAKE the lap from the dog

3. Dog chomps on her ear or tail (you pick)

4. Cat gets pissed--meows loudly--and jumps down

5. Cat "saunters" over to the dogs bowl and decides she will "fix him" by drinking his water

6. Happy and Gloating, cus the puppy cant jump down, she boasts victory!!!

Oh the joys of a cat, a dog, and NO kids!

What a nice weekend! We went to see Roses are Red at Steel Music Hall on Friday night and they were really great---- they came out on stage to "We built this City on Rock and Roll"--- yeah, we liked that!

Scotty is feelling MUCH better--- he's still in his little bonnet, but he is spending more and more time outside of it--- since he's keeping his teeth off of the little bump! Him and the cat are getting along FAMOUSLY and I think they forget that ones a kitty kat and ones a puppy dog!

WE finally finished painting the kitchen yesterday--- actually RYAN finished it yesterday--- it's slate gray. I love it!! AND he put the cabinet doors back on this morning! My house is so fun--- I'm constantly painting or doing something--- ok, so RYAN"S constantly painting!!! hehehehee...............

Not only did we paint the kitchen BUT we put carpet in the basement--- Ryan's Aunt replaced the carpet in her living room and Ryan put it in the basement--- with padding--- its great down there! The doggy and kitty kat have a FIELD day in there!!! AND its quieter for lessons and practicing!

I've gotta find new pics for everybody!!! I know you love 'em!

ryan, Scotty & I spent the evening with the Schenk family and had a GREAT time playing phase 10--- go figure, we sit around drinking wine and number 9's playing card games! Thats what happens when your on a STRICT budget and your getting OLD! But its FUN!! You never know WHAT your ganna bring up and chit chat about! Old stories about high school fights (from two different views)--- for us girls who weren't around for that its kinda interesting to think of our husbands as silly 17yr olds!

Ryan helped Dan unload his truck today! Yep, Dan & Lilly are home and we are SUPER STOKED about them being part of our "family"--- we're all really excited to get to know Lilly and to have a new "perspective" on the high school stories!

So, I guess we are getting together tomorrow night for the full moon--- Nova wants to play truth or dare--- Christos says its no fun with a bunch of married "folk"-- but is always game for a night away from the grind of music--- hopefully Dan will be able to join us and I KNOW Rachel & Aaron dont have anything better to do--- the only question is--- where to house this silly little party-- our house or the Schenk's... THAT is yet to be determined! Oh the lives of the "almost" thirty..... who's house to you sit around and play games in.... :)

Whats new in the Barclay home?? WEll--- Our new little baby (which doesn't EXACTLY have a true name yet--but has been being called Scotty by default) wet the bed last night--- so, he has to have yet ANOTHER bath today! Sheeeesh--- he is going to be the cleanest terrier in town! He is awesome--- and so full of energy! BUT he doesn't want to poop outside--- I even had a dream last night that he told me he was constipated... what a wierd dream! He might be getting a baby puppy enima soon!!! Ryan-- have fun with THAT one!

I'm kinda bummed that Mike's leavin town for a while--- we have gotten so used to having him around he has become part of our "family"--- and we'll miss him tons! BUT good news is another friend is moving BACK home tomorrow!! WE have been waiting for this one to come home for a long time----about 4yrs... and now tomorrow is the day! Dan, we are excited to have you guys home to be part of our little "family"!


I'm not sure what more to say right now other than I'm energized by the sun thats shining in on me and thankful for the break from the dreary, ugly weather we have been having! I'll post more pics soon!
