So, my little guy has had a million and one names.... but officially it has become Porter. Cus, every name I thought of was either lame, a derogetory term for one of my neighbors, or started with an S.... so, I thought of Porter... cus, I wanted to name him Stout... and that was too close to Scotty--- so, Porter is my second choice when Stout isn't available... so, Porter it is!!!

He is getting SOOoo... big! I'll take some video's this weekend and post them.... he is such a little ham!

It's funny-- my sister asked me if I felt 30 yet.... I said "My goodness, I've felt 30 for years".... now some of you might say "Come on Jaime, you're just a baby" while others will say "your HOW OLD?? Oh my goodness, I had NO idea"... regardless of what lies I've told around my actual age.... I must admit that I am TRUTHFULLY the big 3-0 today. I'm a little bummin about it--- but I guess I'm not too disappointed with the number.

There are a few things that I like about being 30---

I can start lying about my age with reason---- so, from now on I'm only 27!
I'm one year closer to retirement
People stop buggin ya about a baby-- cus, you actually start thinkin about it yourself
Professionally, I'm no longer the youngest in the group.
Socially, I'm the oldest, wisest and have the most professional seniority--which makes ME the expert! Ha ha ha you guys!!!
When I get carded people say "oh my goodness you look like such a baby".
I'm starting to feel less restless and more grounded ~ personally and professionally
I buy what I want, when I want-- "I work HAsRrDd for the money"
I wear what I want, when I want--not caring anymore if I'm too old, too young or too fat or too skinny.
I just don's care what anyone thinks... because I'm grounded and settled i'm secure and could give two sh*$s what anyone THINKS I should do/be.
I'm still the youngest when i talk to people I went to high school with.... ha ha!
I still have NO gray hair!! Ha ha!!

WHAT I DONT like about being 30--- even though it's only been a few hours I have been giving this a LOT of thought!!

Everything aches.... yeah, I'm starting to notice my feet ache when I wear the wrong shoes, my finger aches, my eyes ache... everything just aches!
I'm the oldest in my social group....
I'm starting to hold weight in my belly....
My eyes are getting worse
My skin doesn't heal as quickly as it once did
The wrinkles are starting to become more noticeable
I don't feel ANY older than the 21-25yr olds I'm around, but I am.... I'm 30!
I'm not going to change the world before my 30th bday
I'm not going to own a cottage, a boat or a convertible before my 30th bday.

Ok, so now that I've been perfectly honest with all of you I feel a little better... blogging can be a bit therapeutic--- No, I'm not going to pay you for reading this, but thanks!!

This past weekend was a WRECK... between Ryan's high school homecoming Friday night and then Batch372 playing Friday night AND Saturday night--- we were plain old exhausted! BUT we had a good weekend and the week is going pretty well too! Ryan gave me my bday present a little early---- he got a me a new puppy...!!! A whittle wooof wooff... Ive decided to name him after his great uncle Tojo.....

Tojo was a junk yard dog that belonged to my dad and his family when my dad was growing up.... he was a tough german shephard mix and wouldn't let ANYTHING scare him... he "ran over" a number of cars.... which dented and he came out unscratched... so my whittle baby Yorkie (who is only about the size of my hand and about a pound IF THAT) is going to have a tough name--- with a lineage..... Junk Yard Tojo it is!!! I"ll post pics soon!

Ryan and I are heading outta town this weekend.... we are going to Toronto (I think I already mentioned this in a previous post)--- but I'm very excited! Scotty's going to Creekside (puppy spa) and Tojo is going to my parents house.... so psyched about the weekend away!!! I'll post pics as soon as I get back!!!

This is a BIG sorry to all of you that follow my blog to find out whats been going on in the Barclay house.... I have been sooo busy that I haven't had the opportunity to update this in a while. I'll try to do my best right now!!

As you know from my previous posts--- Ryan is the new musical director at Canisteo-Greenwood High School. It is quite a trek everyday, but most days he thinks it's worth it! (over 80 miles one way) Last Friday night was the first home football game and Ryan's pep band took part in the festivities... they were a HUGE success AND the football team won! So, now people are in love with him..... just as we are here at home! The next home football game is actually their homecoming and the pep band will be there performing (7pm Sept. 29th). So, if any of you are interested in joining us in cheering for the teams come on down!!!

I am getting the swing of things at Greece slowly, but surely.... AND staying busy with InterVol... Right now I'm two days a week at Greece and three days a week at InterVol--- sometimes it's tough to remember where I'm suppossed to be when, but I'm getting the handle on it... I've only missed one meeting so far! :)

Ryan and I are excited cus we are heading to Toronto for Columbus Day weekend.... I made our hotel reservations yesterday and we officially made the decision to do Toronto instead of NYC....(our $1 just goes soooo much further in Toronto)... we are staying at the Suites at King West and are really psyched about going to see Wicked!! It will be really nice for us to get away by ourselves and just enjoy some time alone.... I will be sure to post some pictures!!

Scotty is doing well, but HATING us having such busy schedules now.... he is spending too much time alone and now we have to think of a solution to this problem... possibly, hiring someone to come in to walk him 1x per day while we are out... Im not sure, but if we dont do something soon we are going to beat the naughty outta him!
