This is a BIG sorry to all of you that follow my blog to find out whats been going on in the Barclay house.... I have been sooo busy that I haven't had the opportunity to update this in a while. I'll try to do my best right now!!

As you know from my previous posts--- Ryan is the new musical director at Canisteo-Greenwood High School. It is quite a trek everyday, but most days he thinks it's worth it! (over 80 miles one way) Last Friday night was the first home football game and Ryan's pep band took part in the festivities... they were a HUGE success AND the football team won! So, now people are in love with him..... just as we are here at home! The next home football game is actually their homecoming and the pep band will be there performing (7pm Sept. 29th). So, if any of you are interested in joining us in cheering for the teams come on down!!!

I am getting the swing of things at Greece slowly, but surely.... AND staying busy with InterVol... Right now I'm two days a week at Greece and three days a week at InterVol--- sometimes it's tough to remember where I'm suppossed to be when, but I'm getting the handle on it... I've only missed one meeting so far! :)

Ryan and I are excited cus we are heading to Toronto for Columbus Day weekend.... I made our hotel reservations yesterday and we officially made the decision to do Toronto instead of NYC....(our $1 just goes soooo much further in Toronto)... we are staying at the Suites at King West and are really psyched about going to see Wicked!! It will be really nice for us to get away by ourselves and just enjoy some time alone.... I will be sure to post some pictures!!

Scotty is doing well, but HATING us having such busy schedules now.... he is spending too much time alone and now we have to think of a solution to this problem... possibly, hiring someone to come in to walk him 1x per day while we are out... Im not sure, but if we dont do something soon we are going to beat the naughty outta him!

I hope all is well and I will talk to all of you soon!!!

Please join us in this FLY THE FLAG campaign and PLEASE tell your friends and neighbors immediately about it.

We have a little less than one week and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America.

THE PROGRAM IS THIS:

On Monday, September 11th, 2006, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States.

Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this fifth anniversary of our country's worst tragedy.

We do this in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends, and loved ones who continue to endure the pain and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism.

Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity.

Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do...

(1) Tell everyone you know (at least 11 people). Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.

Honestly, Americans should fly the flag year-round, but if you don't, then at least make it a priority on this day.

Thank you for your participation.

God Bless You and God Bless America.

Did I forget to say that as we were leaving Yasgur Road for Hector's we just threw all of our stuff in the cars and the back of Mike's truck.... well, one of our BRAND new chairs went for a little ride.... out of Mikes truck and stuck in the middle of a TON of tractor trailer traffic.... Danny manned up and carried her back to safety!

Hi everybody!!!

Some cool news that I can finally share!!

NO.... I'm not pregnant mom and dad..... so, STOP asking---can't a girl put on a couple of pounds without everyone thinking she's preggers??

So, my cool news is that Ryan and I both have new jobs! Yep, he is "officially" the new high school instrumental teacher, 1/2 time choral teacher, and marching band director at Canisteo-Greenwood Central School District. Some of you are going to be scratching your heads and saying "How come you ALWAYS work at districts that NO ONE has heard of?"... well, thats probobly because he is a hidden treasure that districts like Brighton and Penfield aren't interested in because he didn't go to the Eastman.... BUT these schools are just PERFECT for him... including Canisteo.... His exact words were last night on his way home from spending some time at the school were "This is the most beautiful music facility I have ever seen in a high school..... EVEN better than Brighton!"... So, there.....

Now, my news is that I tooo have gotten a new job..... I am "officially" a .4fte School Psychologist in the Greece Central School District.... I will be working with the Bridges program (self contained 8th grade class at the GREECE RIDGE MALL---- as if I need an EXCUSE to shop.....I'll have to close my eyes!)... and the consultant/support for the porocial elementary schools in the district..... cool huh? Two days a week, I get to make my own schedule... I have 100% medical AND dental for me and Ryan.... AND 100% tuition reimbursement! Maybe I will get that admin CAS afterall!

Okay... thats my cool news.....
